Larsen, Ingvart (9 Aug. 1907 – 6 Nov. 1935)

Ingvart Larsen, always known as “Buster” Larsen, was born to Mr. and Mrs. Ole P. Larsen on August 9, 1907, in Cottonwood, South Dakota. He moved with his parents to Wisconsin in 1915, and there grew up to manhood. He worked in South Dakota and Chicago for a number of years. He returned here and bought a farm, and was married to Gerelda Thompson of Neillsville on July 16, 1930. A son, Bradley, was born April 29, 1931.

Buster was enaged in farming and milk hauling. He has been the clerk of the Town of Washburn for the last three years.

He was accidently killed on Nov. 6th, while hunting. Besides his wife and little son, he leaves his parents of the Town of Sherwood; five sisters, Mrs. Anna Dooley, of Chicago, Ill.; Mrs. Amelia Elmer of St. Paul, Minn.; Mrs. Marie Aasen of the town of Washburn; his twin sister, Mrs. Inger Mulniz, of Chicago, Ill.; and Sadie of Neillsville; four brothers, Soren and Walter of the town of Washburn; Victor of Chicago, Ill.; and Oscar in a CCC Camp at Mountain, Wis.

The funeral was held at Lowe’s Funeral Home Saturday, Nov. 9; Rev. Longenecker officiating. He was buried in the Neillsville cemetery with the Moose Lodge ceremony at the grave. Members of Moose lodge also served as pallbearers.

Out of town people who attended the funeral were Mrs. Jack Christensen and daughter, Camilla (his aunt, and cousin), of Chippewa Falls, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Elmer and daughters of St. Paul; Mrs. Anna Dooley of Chicago; Victor Larsen of Chicago; Mr.and Mrs. Winfield Mulnix of Chicago; Oscar Larsen from Mountain, Wis.; Mr. and Mrs. Roy Thompson of Milwaukee; Mrs. H. E. Trumbull of Blue Island.
