Surnames: FEIND WIEDENHOEFT SCHULZ KUMBIER FRANZ NICKLE BOSS BAUER Source: Tribune-Phonograph (Abbotsford and Colby, Wisc.), Thursday, 15 April, 1971, page 2 FEIND, Amanda (14 April 1880-8 April 1971) Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday at Zion Lutheran church, Colby, for Mrs. Amanda Feind who died Thursday, April 8, at Marshfield Convalescent center. Rev. David Pankow conducted the service and burial was in Colby Memorial cemetery. Mrs. Feind was born Amanda Wiedenhoeft April 14, 1880 in Brownsville. She was married to Carl Feind on Oct. 30, 1902, and spent their married life on a farm west of Colby, moving into the city in 1935. Surviving are three sons, Ernest, Colby; Julius and Arthur, Rochester; six daughters: Mrs. Arthur (Laura) Kumbier, Mrs. E.W. Schulz and Miss Adeline Feind, Colby; Miss Verna Feind and Miss Irene Feind, Milwaukee; and Miss Alida Feind, Des Plaines, Ill.; 21 grandchildren, 56 great grandchildren and three great, great grandchildren; and three sisters, Mrs. Albert Franz (Gusta), Seattle, Wash., Mrs. Ed Feind (Louise), Wautoma, and Mrs. Roger Nickle (Anna), Cleveland. She was preceded in death by her husband and four brothers. Visitation was held in the Lulloff Funeral home, Colby, Sunday. Pallbearers were all grand children. They were Julius Schultz, Calvin Schultz, Paul Feind, Kenneth Feind, Dave Feind and Dennis Feind. Honorary pallbearers were all great grandchildren. They were: Loren Schultz, Allen Schultz, Dennis Boss, Sidney Bauer, Mark Schultz and Gary Schultz.
