Mrs. A. E. Russell entertains her contract club at her home this evening.

Born to Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Schuette at the Marg Fox Farm, Jan. 14, a son.

Mrs. Mat Resong left today for Sheboygan to visit her daughter and other relatives.

R. M. Horswill and M. G. Hales made a business trip to Fairchild Monday morning.

F. A. Viergutz was called to Marion the latter party of the week by the death of his brother.

Misses Nellie Hartson and Elsie Mattson spent the weekend with friends at Marshfield.

Wm. Naedler has been at Madison General Hospital the past ten days receiving treatment for hernia.

V. P. Barager, publisher of the Owen Enterprise, was a business visitor at the court house Tuesday.

Miss Ferne Robinson entertained the M. E. B. club at her home this week, Miss Esther Jackson having high score.

Mrs. Emil Tykac left today for Waldo, Wis., to spend a week with her sister, Mrs. Henry Grassman, and other relatives.

Judge E. W. Crosby and Court Reporter Miss Hazel Lee held court at Black River Falls Tuesday and Wednesday and were to be at Mauston Thursday.

Mrs. Clarence Jensen has been ill for the past several days. Mr. Jensen works in the Ebeling & Schultz plant and he and his wife reside in the Ebeling flat over the Press office.

Mr. and Mrs. Otto Lewerenz entertained the 500 club Tuesday night. Mr. and Mrs. Ed Hauge and Mr. and Mrs. George Prochazka and Mrs. Will Schultz were prize winners. A fine lunch was served.

Mr. and Mrs. J. Spencer Pullen entertained a few friends Saturday evening in honor of Mr. and Mrs. A. Trask and Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Jones of Black River Falls, who were guests at the Pullen home on South Court Street.

Mr. and Mrs. Carl Dodte and their two children, Billie and Peggy, left today (Wednesday) for their home in Ruby, Wash., after spending several weeks here with relatives and old friends.
