Obit: Dresden, Harriet (1860 – 1936)
Surname: Dresden, Eastman, Bouvran, White, Taylor, Cramer, Winters, Frantz, Stevens, Wilding, Ayers, Meeks, Thompson Source: Neillsville Press (Neillsville, Clark County, Wis.) 16 April 1936 Dresden, Harriet (18 April 1860 – 10 April 1936) Mrs. Harriet Dresden passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Walter Eastman, at Amboy, Ill., Friday, April 10, at 4:17 a.m., after suffering from a paralytic stroke. Harriet Dresden was born in Sheboygan, Wis., the daughter of Joseph and Mary Bouvran, April 18, 1860. On Jan. 1, 1875, she was united in marriage to Henry Fay Dresden at Humbird, Wis. Mr. Dresden preceded her in death seven years ago at Rib Lake, Wis., and was buried in the Neillsville cemetery. Ten children were born to them, three of whom survive, Robert Dresden, Woosung, Ill., Gertrude Dresden, Amboy, Ill., and Dewie Dresden, Rib Lake. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Dresden formerly lived near Shortville, from about 1895 to 1905. They moved to Neillsville where they lived a year and then moved to Fennimore. In the intervening years they lived in many localities, Mr. Dresden being a trader and the owner of a large number of different farms. Funeral services were held Monday at 2 p.m., from the Lowe Funeral Home, Rev. P. B. White officiating with burial in the Neillsville Cemetery. The following who were old friends of Mr. and Mrs. Dresden were pallbearers, Dave Taylor, George Cramer, Thomas Winters, Henry Frantz, Will Stevens and Arthur Wilding. Mrs. Dresden was a sister-in-law of Bert Dresden of this city. Those from out of town who were here for the services were Mr. and Mrs. R. Dresden, Woosung, Ill., Mr. and Mrs. Walter Eastman and son, Ottis, of Amboy, Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Dresden of Rib Lake; Mrs. Gus. Ayers, Granton; Mrs. Birdie Meeks and Mrs. Sam Thompson of Black River Falls, the later two being nieces of Mrs. Dresdea.
