Obit: Radtke, Gustav F. (1870 – 1914)
Surnames: RATDKE DINS Source: Colby Phonograph (Colby, Clark County, Wis.) 04/09/1914 --------- Radtke, Gustav F. (25 APR 1870 – 1 APR 1914) The remains of Gustav Radtke, who died at the Trempealeau Co. Asylum, on Wednesday, April 1st, 1914, arrived here Thursday evening, and were taken to the home of his brother, Chas. Radtke, in the town of Colby, Clark Co., Wis. Deceased was born in Sheboygan Falls, April 25th, 1870, and came to Colby with his parents in September 1880. He was an industrious worker until fifteen years ago, when his mind went wrong and he was committed to the Mendota Asylum; about two years ago he was transferred to the Whitehall Asylum. Debility was given as the cause of death. He is survived by his mother, Caroline Radtke, two brothers, August and Charles, and one sister, Mrs. Fred Dins, all residing in the town of Colby. The funeral was held from Zion Lutheran Church, Saturday afternoon, Rev. C.C. Hartenstein officiating.
