Surname: Shedden, Ruchaber, White, Morse, Arnold, Salchert, Carter, Clives, Monay Source: Neillsville Press (Neillsville, Clark County, Wis.) 20 Aug. 1936 Shedden, Theresa (31 Aug. 1871 – 13 Aug. 1936) Theresa Ruchaber, daughter of Gotlieb and Emma Ruchaber, was born at Belleville, Illinois, August 31, 1871. At about eleven years of age she moved with her people to Weir, Kansas, where she grew to womanhood. About the year 1891, she was married to Alanson Shedden of Dundee, Illinois in the city of Chicago, Illinois. The Sheddens lived at Dundee, Illinois until in August of 1916, when they came to Neillsville, Wisconsin where Mr. Shedden started the Oatman Condensed Milk Company of this city and superintended the plant until his death in November of 1925. For a number of years, Mr. and Mrs. Shedden made a home for her brother, William, and after her husband’s death, Mrs. Shedden came to live with Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Ruchaber in a happy relationship which continued until the present time. During Mrs. Shedden’s illness of the last 10 months, the very best of care was provided for her, and finally she passed on into the land where there is no more sickness, nor pain, nor death, on Thursday, evening, August 13, 1936. Mrs. Shedden was a quiet home-loving woman and possessed a sympathetic and unselfish nature, and was an excellent friend and neighbor. She was extremely fond of flowers and her garden, which she was ever wiling to share with others, was a veritable paradise. Mrs. Shedden is survived by three sisters: Elizabeth of Salt Lake City, Utah; Mary of Elgin, Illinois; and Jodie of Weir, Kansas; and by four brothers, Gottlieb and Thomas of Weir, Kansas; Edward of Detroit, Michigan; and William of Neillsville, Wisconsin, and she is mourned by many friends. Funeral services were held at the Lowe Funeral Home on Sunday afternoon at 2 o’clock, the Rev. Paul B. White officiating, and burial took place in the local cemetery. The relatives and friends from out of town who attended the funeral were as follows: Mrs. Margaret Morse, Aaron Morse, Mrs. George Arnold, Mrs. John Salchert, all of Fond du Lac; Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Carter and daughter, Betty Ann of St. Paul; Burr Carter, Elroy; Mr. and Mrs. Pete Clives, Marshfield; Mr. and Mrs. Ed. Ruchaber, Detroit; Judie Ruchaber, Pasadena, Calif.; Mary Ruchaber, R. N. of Elgin, Illinois; and Lucille Monay, Salt Lake City.
