Granton

Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Schmidtke, and Mrs. C. L. Winn were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Knuckle of Bonduel over the weekend.

Gladys Wage left Friday for Grandon where she will take up the duties as supervising teacher for Forest County.

Mr. and Mrs. E. A. Beeckler enjoyed a family reunion at the Earl Pickett home near Spencer Sunday, when all their children with their families were present. The guests were: Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Beeckler, Neillsville, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Smith, Milwaukee; Allen Beeckler, Madison, Bessie Beeckler, Minneapolis, Miss Pearle Beeckler, Tomah, Miss Daphne Beeckler, Mr. and Mrs. Ben Beeckler and children, Margaret, Billy, and Jack, Orra Beeckler of Granton; Mr. and Mrs. Clark Waterman and children Helene and Jimmy of Mosinee and Mr. and Mrs. Earl Pickett and children, Ione, Rex and Audrey.

Bernard Winn spent the weekend with relatives in Stevens Point.

Mr. and Mrs. Merton Davis and Ora Davis enjoyed a four days vacation trip and visited points of interest in Wisconsin and Minnesota and went into Canada returning home Sunday night.

Betty Davis of Stevens Point is visiting Doris Winn.

Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Johnson have returned to their home here after spending their vacation in Eau Claire and Rice Lake. Mr. Johnson is a member of the faculty of the Granton Schools.

Mr. and Mrs. Myron Osgood, Walworth, visited relatives here the first of the week. They were accompanied here by Ward Davis of Walworth who purchased several head of cows at the Frei sale on Monday.

Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Bires of New Lisbor; spent Wednesday with Mr. and Mrs. S. D. Macomber.

Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Anderson attended the wedding of her niece in Fond du Lac Saturday.

Mrs. Arthur Short is a surgical patient at St. Joseph’s hospital in Marshfield since Monday.

Mr. and Mrs. Lee Grower attended the 25th wedding anniversary celebration at the Jim Hughes home Sunday.

Eileen Bergemann and Irene Bartz entertained their many friends at a lawn party at the G. H. Bergemann home Thursday evening.
