Surname: Subke, Buddenhagen, Rath, Anderson, Schoen, Hainz, Hudec, Quast, Meiers, Kamarek, Holub, Subke, Schlimme, neff, Counsell, Page, Schoenherr, Kurtzneg Source: Neillsville Press (Neillsville, Clark County, Wis.) 20 Aug. 1936 Levis Charles Luck spent Sunday at the Subke home. Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Buddenhagen and son Leland drove to Eau Claire Sunday where Leland entered the hospital for an operation Monday morning. Mrs. Wm. Rath spent Sunday afternoon with Mrs. Harold Anderson. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Schoen and children, who are visiting at Columbia and Mr. and Mrs. Otto Hainz and children spent Sunday at the home of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. B. Schoen. A fine rain fell Monday night which was badly needed for corn and other later crops were badly damaged and many have cut their corn for silage or hay already to save it. Telephones were disabled because of the electrical disturbance Monday night and blasting on the highway for several days the past week. Mr. and Mrs. Ed Hudec and family returned to Chicago Sunday after a visit with his mother, Mrs. Frank Hudec and other relatives. Frederick Quast and Art Meiers and families visited their parents Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Kamarek of Brookfield, Illinois and Mr. and Mrs. Kamarek of N. Junction, Illinois came Friday to visit at the Joseph Holub home. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Subke and Mr. and Mrs. Schimme of Neillsville were at Colburn last week at attended the funeral of an uncle. Mr. and Mrs. Charley Neff and children attended the Ringling circus at La Crosse Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Charley and Mr. and Mrs. Roy Richmond spent Friday evening with Mr. and Mrs. Clarion Counsell. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Subke and Mrs. Milton Page spent Sunday evening at the Roy Richmond home. Mr. and Mrs. Kurt Schoenherr spent Thursday with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Meiers. Clifford Kurtzneg came home from the C. C. C. camp for a visit Sunday.
