--------- Geisler, Julius (21 OCT 1915 – 3 MAY 1978)

NEILLSVILLE, Clark Co., Wis. – Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Georgas-Gesche Funeral Home in Neillsville for Julius “Jack” Geisler, 62, Route 2, Granton. He died Wednesday at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Madison.

The Rev. Gary Clark, pastor of the United Church of Christ, will officiate. Burial will be in Neillsville Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. Sunday and after 9:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Mr. Geisler was born Oct. 21, 1915 in Neillsville, where he attended schools. He worked in construction business until entering the U.S. Navy.

After his discharge from service he worked in Sycamore, Ill. For many years, returning to Neillsville about 20 years ago. He was in the feeder pig business and operated a tavern for several years. He returned to construction and was employed by Tesmer Construction in Neillsville.

He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5768 of Sycamore, American Legion Post 73 of Neillsville and the Neillsville Gun Club.

He was married and later divorced.

Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Linda Kaisher, Denver, Colo., Mrs. Sandra Meadows of Sycamore, Mrs. Margaret Weinstock and Mrs. Cindy Lay, both of DeKalb, Ill.; three sisters, Mrs. William (Katherine) Buddinger and Mrs. Erwin (Louise) Sternitzky, both of Granton, and Mrs. George, (Margaret) Turner, Neillsville; one brother, William in California; and eight grandchildren.

He was predeceased by two brothers.
