Rabenstein, Carl Parker (1923 – 1936)

Friends of Maurel K. Rabenstein will join the Press in offering sympathy to himself and family for the death of a son. The following clipping is taken from the Martinez, Calif., Contra Costa Gazette:

Carl Parker Rabenstein, 13 – year old son of Mr. and Mrs. M. K. Rabenstein of Martinez, died at Community Hospital yesterday less than a week after undergoing a mastoid operation. The father is a Junior High School teacher and has been active in American Legion affairs here.

Besides his parents the boy is survived by two sisters, Klaudine and Rita, and a brother, William. He was a native of California.

Funeral services will be held tomorrow at 10 o’clock at St. Catherine’s church. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, by Brunscher-Connolly Chapel.

Many messages of condolence were extended today to the grieving parents and their family.

Carl, a junior high school student, was extremely active in school affairs and university liked. He was a first class Scout, a patrol leader in the Scouts, chief of the school’s traffic squad, sergeant-at-arms of the Sons of the Legion, played in the school band, was a member of the past secretary of the school’s aviation club and was an outstanding marksman.
