Hrasky, Margaret E. (12 May 1906 - 12 April 2006)

Margaret Hrasky,age 99,of Waukesha,died Sunday,Apri l2,2006 at the Waukesha Springs Nursing Home in Waukesha. Margaret Elizabeth Hrasky was born on May 12,1906 in Terre Haute,IN, the daughter of Frank and Etta (King) Ruddik. Shortly after her birth ,they moved to Neillsville,where Margaret attended and graduated from school. After high school,she attended Teacher's normal school and obtained her teaching degree. She taught in the Reed School, Hewitt and Shortville. On May 30,1937 she was united in marriage to William John Hrasky in Neillsville.After marriage, Margaret continued teaching until the birth of thier first child,Franklin in 1939.From then until 1952,she stayed at home and raised her family. Then she began working as a nurses aide at the Neillsville Hospital. Later,she went to St.Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield and earned her certification as a Lab and X-Ray Technician. She then returned to Neillsville and eventually became a Physician's Assistant working with Dr. Capati.In 1974, at the age of 67 Margaret took the driver's test and recieved her driver's license. She retired in 1975 and moved to Waukesha in 1995. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Neillsville her whole life. She taught Sunday School and was a member of the Ridge Circle within the church.Margaret was also a member of the Royal Neighbors.

She is survived by one son, Franklin(Edris)Hrasky,of Watertown,Wis.; one daughter,Carol(Lonnie)Kuhn,of Atoka,TN; one granddaughter, Kaye Piotrowski; one step-grandchild; two great-grandsons,William and Josiah; and five step-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband,one brother,one sister and her parents.

Funeral services for Margaret were held Thursday, April 6, at the Gesche Funeral Home in Neillsville. Pastor Craig Conklin officiated, Music was provided by Charlotte Drescher, organist. Internment was in the Neillsville City Cemetery.
