Surnames: Sage, Tallman, Kalsow, Gurney, Bildeau, Wesenberg, Roeder, Wallace Source: Clark County Press (Neillsville, Clark County, WI) November 30, 2005 Sage, Orval “Ole” James (May 19, 1926 - November 21, 2005) Orval “Ole” Sage, age 79, of Neillsville, died Monday November 21, 2005 at the Memorial Medical Center in Neillsville. Orval “Ole” James Sage was born on May 18, 1926, the son of Ethel (Tallman) and James P Sage. He attended the Washburn School through the 8th grade. He then worked as a pulper for Wood Inc. He then went to work hauling milk for the Neillsville Rendering Plant and later worked for the Clark County Department of Forestry. After he retired he ran his hobby farm. Ole is survived by his wife, Evelyn Sage; daughters, Ethel Kalsow, Karrie Sage, Linda Gurney, Cheryl Bildeau and a son Pete Wesenberg. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren: brothers, Charles (Marion) Sage of Slinger; Willis (Helen) Sage of Horicon; and sisters, Ester Roeder of Milwaukee, and Marion (Lyall) Wallace of White Bear Lake, MN; a sister-in-law, Mavis Sage of Neillsville; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Gibb, Norman, Don and one granddaughter Olivia. Funeral services for Ole were held at 11 a.m., Friday November 25, at the United Methodist Church in Neillsville. Pastor Mary Anne Conklin officiated. Music was provided by Pat Knudson, organist. Interment was in the East Lawn Cemetery in Augusta. Serving as pallbearers were: Wayne and Parker Kalsow, Keith Maitke, Rick Rendell, Kevin Smith and Pete Wesenberg. The Gesche Funeral Home of Neillsville assisted the Sage family with the arrangements.
