Seager, Adelbert “Dell” Jason (7 Nov. 1875 – 10 May 1937)

Dell Seager a life-long resident of the town of Weston died suddenly of heart failure at his home Monday morning, May 10.

Adelbert Jason Seager was born in the town of Weston, Nov. 7, 1875, grew to manhood, and lived all his life on the same farm where he was born, and where his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Niran Seager lived before him.

His life was comparatively uneventful. He was industrious and frugal, a careful farmer who loved his land and his livestock.

He had no enemies and had the respect of all who knew him.

Mr. Seager never married, his sister, Elsie, the only survivor of the family doing the housework in the home and sharing with him in the care of the farm. The deepest sympathy is felt for her in her lonely bereavement.

Funeral services will be held at the home, Thursday afternoon at 2 o’clock in charge of the Jaster Funeral Service, and Rev. G. W. Longenecker officiating.

Burial will take place in the Neillsville Cemetery.

Adelbert Seager the son of Nirum and Charlotte Seager was born Nov. 7, 1875 at the home place where he died suddenly of heart failure Monday morning, May 10, 1937.

When a boy he attended the Weston District School and the farm was his home all his life.

He leaves to mourn his death, one sister, Elsie, three aunts, Mrs. Solome Gray of Marshfield; Mrs. Ella Poate of St. Paul; Mrs. Addie Vickere of Broadhead, South Dakota; and an Uncle William Hurlburt of Neillsville. Other relatives from out of town who attended the funeral were Mrs. Dan Staunard of St. Paul; Mrs. Richard Salter; Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Wepfer; Mrs. Debert Solzman, Mr. and Mrs. Hebert Gray all of Colby; Mr. and Mrs. Harold Ludwig of Dorchester; Mr. and Mrs. Morris Ross, Mr. and Mrs. Ray McDonald, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Rakov of Marshfield.

Mr. Seager had a host of friends.

The funeral was held at the farm home Thursday, May 13. Interment was made at the Neillsville cemetery. The pallbearers were Jason Gault, Percy Northup, Otto Warren, John Krejci, Edward Gault and Wheeler Forman. Appropriate music was furnished by Mrs. Sidney Patey and Mrs. Jess Scott. G. W. Longenecker, pastor of the Neillsville Congregational church officiated.
