Daley, 87, of Thorp, formerly of Ellenton, Fla., died Monday, Aug. 8, 2005, at Oakbrook Health and Rehabilitation in Thorp. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 19, 2005, at St. Bernard's-St. Hedwig's Catholic Church in Thorp. Burial will take place at a later date at Mansion Memorial Park in Ellenton, Fla. Thorp Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. She was born Aug. 28, 1917, in Chicago, to Jacob and Anna (Hovezak) Vaclav. She married Wilbur A. Daley on Nov. 4, 1939, at St. Michael's Catholic Church. She owned and operated a neighborhood grocery store in Chicago from 1957 until 1961. She then worked as a sales clerk then assistant manager at Wieboldt's Department Store, retiring in 1972. Her husband died April 23, 1992. Marie moved to Thorp in 2000 to live with her daughter. She is survived by three daughters, Mary Ann (Bob) Lewandowski, Thorp, Jacqueline (Bob) Walters, Withee, and Elizabeth Cichon, McHenry, Ill.; nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Edward Vaclav, Lombard, Ill., and Daniel (Carol) Vaclav, Manteno, Ill. * * * * * * * Source: Leader-Telegram (Eau Claire, Eau Claire County, Wis.) 16 Aug. 2005 DALEY, Marie A., 87, of Thorp and formerly of Ellenton, Fla., died Aug. 8 at Oakbrook Health & Rehab in Thorp.
