Otto M. Bahn died at his home in the town of Green Grove (Clark Co., Wis.), Jan 4th, 1917, of acute pneumonia, after an illness of three weeks.

Otto M. Bahn was born in the town of Wilson, Sheboygan County, Aug. 21, 1862; was married to Miss Anna Rahn in 1889 at Sheboygan; came to Clark Co. in 1896 and settled on the farm in the town of Green Grove where they have since lived. He is the father of four children: Mrs. Fred Marquardt of the town of Mayville, Miss Adela, Walter and Edgar at home.

Mr. Bahn was a man well liked in his community. He was active in town affairs and frequently served as a town officer. He was a good, honest, industrious man, and in his little community counted as one active in helping to bring about progress in every way possible. Mr. Bahn was at the time of his death one of the deacons in the Trinity Lutheran Church in Green Grove, in which position he had served for many years, and was reelected on New Year’s Day. He was one of the congregation’s best workers.

Besides the children, he is survived by his wife; three sisters, Mrs. Wm. Adam; Mrs. Albert Adam; Mrs. E. Gumbel of Chicago; three brothers, Gust of Abbotsford; Wm. F. and A.W. of Chicago; all of whom attended his funeral. The funeral was held from the Lutheran Church in Green Grove, Sunday, Jan. 7, 1917, and was largely attended.

The remains were shipped to Sheboygan Monday morning, accompanied by the relatives, where burial took place.
