Hales returned home from Iowa last week. Sylvester Pease, Sr., has gone back to Tomah, where he intends to make his home during the coming winter. School began in District No. 3 last week, Ernest Wicker, teacher. Mrs. S.W. Bolton closed her fall term of school last week, in the Nate Manes district, in Weston. W. F. Bolton is building himself a house. S.A. Andrews carpenter. H.A. King met with a sad accident on the afternoon of the seventh. As he was putting in load of straw, his horses started and he fell off the load, breaking his leg below the knee. Dr. Lacey was called to set the bone. Drs. Esch and Mulvey were called to see Mrs. George Palmer, who was been ailing for some time, and pronounced her insane. She will be sent to the asylum. Her husband has the sympathy of the community in his affliction. REPORTER |
