Surnames: GEESLIN JOHNSON FRENCH SMITHERS KING PEAT PALMER CAMPBELL

Source: Republican and Press (Neillsville, Wis.) 12/24/1891

WILCOX

School began last week in District No. 2, with Mrs. Josie Geeslin as teacher.

Mrs. Onley Johnson is on the sick list. Dr. Viola French was called to attend her.

Wm H. Smithers is suffering from an attack of the rheumatism, so he is not able to be around.

Frank King, of Fond du Lac, has come up to help care for his brother, who broke his leg last week.

Henry Peat returned home Saturday from Dakota, where he had been with a threshing machine. He reports lots of snow there and not much more than half of the wheat threshed, and acres of grain not stacked.

Geo. Palmer started Monday morning to take his wife to the asylum. He went to Neillsville expecting Sheriff Campbell to go with them. He thinks of getting work there so he can be near his wife.
