News: York (1892/02/25)
Surnames: PEAT JOHNSON RICHARDSON SWEET GRAVES GIBSON Source: Republican and Press (Neillsville, Wis.) 02/25/1892 WILCOX Henry Peat started last week for North Dakota, to work at threshing. He was accompanied by his daughter, Carrie. Clara Johnson, wife of Enoch Johnson, is quite sick, with little hope of recovery. Dr. Lacey has charge of the patient during her illness. There was a funeral at York Center Church, the 19th. A three-month old child of Ward Richardson and wife, of Loyal, was buried at the Center. Quite a number from the Center attended the auction at Martin Sweet’s the front end of the week. S.D. Gibson has sold his farm to Walter Graves; consideration, $2,800. Gibson will remain on the place this summer, and we hope he will make up his mind to remain in the town, as we don’t like to lose such men. REPORTER |
