WILCOX

The Epworth League holds a social at George Lindsley’s Friday evening, the 4th.

Our burg has had quite an excitement the past few days. One of the neighbors got mad at another and went out in the road when he was passing, and used such naughty cuss words that the party aggrieved thought it best to invite him down to the city. So Justice Marsh wrote out the invitation and it was settled for about $16. Well, it hardly seems to pay to use such bad language.

J.H. Fisher and Wm. Graves have gone to Fond du Lac to visit some old friends and neighbors.

A. Paulson, of Heathville, was over to our burg this week, and reports having a very sick child. The trouble is a gathering in the throat caused by the grip. The Loyal physician is in attendance.

L. Mack has sold his blacksmith shop and tools to H.W. Visgar, and it looks as though we were going to loss our much needed shop.
