----Galbreath, Eva Ethel (13 Jan. 1918 – 4 May 1938)

Eva Ethel Galbreath was born as the seventh child of Mr. and Mrs. John Galbreath on Jan. 13, 1918, in the town of Washburn, Clark County, where she spent her childhood days and attended the public school. In May, 1936, Miss Eva left for Chicago to find employment. About seven weeks ago she returned to her sister’s home at Granton, a sick patient was removed to Granton, a sick girl. Two weeks later the patient was removed to Granton Clinic, suffering with acute Brights disease. Last Wednesday night, May 4th, at 11:30 o’clock she passed away, having attained the age of 20 years, 3 months and 21 days.

Those left who mourn her early departure are her grief stricken parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Galbreath of Washburn, seven brothers, Orie of Doland, S. D.; Glen of Oregon; Milburn of Wisconsin Rapids; Vernon of Marshfield; Earl, Bobbie and Burl at home; five sisters, Mildred, Mrs. Oscar Ebert of Granton; Ada, Mrs. Arthur Opelt of town of Levis; Vera, Mrs. Howard Bowen of the town of Grant; Genevieve, Mrs. Ed. Hohman of Washburn; Opel at home and many relatives and friends. One brother, Hollie, preceded his sister in death on Feb. 19, 1936, age the age of 15.

The funeral was held Saturday at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Rev. Wm. A. Baumann, officiating.
