Sackett NEILLSVILLE -- Charles Lafayett Sackett, age 93, of Fairchild, died Sunday, Aug. 6, 2006, at the Memorial Health and Rehabilitation Center in Neillsville. Services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2006, at the Gesche Funeral Home in Neillsville. Interment will be in the Fairchild Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. He was born on May 3, 1917, in the town of Seif, the son of George and Jessie (Hartson) Sackett. He was united in marriage to Ann Pozega on May 15, 1937. He farmed and worked in the woods in the Fairchild area. He began his hobby shop in 1976 where he did welding and fabrication until he was 90 years old. He is survived by his wife, Ann; two daughters, Carol (Lloyd) Wilkenson, Salem, and Evelyn (Michael) Chandler, Alma Center; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He is also survived by three sisters, Ruth Ida, Blair, Nora Spencer, Minnesota, and Ethel (Ed) Pelzek, Fairchild.
