Surname: Gallagher, Ketel, Kintzele, Bramble, Margueritte, Wegner, Pickering, George, Thompson, LaBarge, Jones, Hubbard, Longenecker Source: Neillsville Press (Neillsville, Clark County, Wis.) 18 Aug. 1938 ------------Gallagher, Emma (29 Aug. 1873 – 10 Aug. 1938) Emma Ketal, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Ketel, was born at Mishicot, Manitowoc Co., Wisconsin, August 29, 1873, and died at her home in Neillsville at 3:30 o’clock Wednesday afternoon, August 10, 1938, after an illness of one week. In 1875 she came with her parents to Neillsville where she has continued to make her home. In 1899 she was married to David Gallagher of Codderington, Canada. To them were born six children, all living. She leaves to mourn her passing: Her husband, David Gallagher; the following sons and daughters; Theodora, Mrs. H. A. Kintzele of Appleton; Virginia, Mrs. Geo. Bramble of Janesville; Francis of St. Helens, Oregon; and Ella Margueritte, William and David Jr., all of Neillsville. Four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. The following brothers and sisters who join in grief with her immediate family are: Mrs. Albert Wegner and Mrs. D. L. Pickering of Sheldon, Wis.; Mrs. Frank George and Mrs. F. Thompson of St. Helens, Oregon, and one brother, Albert Ketel, of Barrington, Ill. All of her children were home the week prior to her death and remained for the rites, and all of her brothers and sisters, except two sisters who live on the west coast, were also here. Others present were Mrs. LaBarge, Ladysmith; Mrs. Maurice Jones, Baraboo, Mrs. Sanford and Clarence Wegner, Sheldon, and Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Hubbard and daughter, Charlotte, Janesville. Mrs. Gallagher lived a truly unselfish life, giving her entire time to the needs and comforts of those about her. Through her teaching and example she reared a family which has been a credit to herself and a joy to the community. Funeral services were held August 12th at the Schiller Funeral home, Rev. G. W. Longenecker officiating.
