Charles Brady, age 50, passed away at the Medford Clinic on Tuesday at 7:00 o’clock a.m., after a week’s illness following an operation for appendicitis.

The deceased was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Barney Brady, pioneers of Curtiss (Clark Co., Wis.) and lived on the old home farm 3 miles north of that village. He was married about 25 years ago to Miss Stella Baker of Stanley, who with their daughter, Beulah, survive. He also leaves to mourn, his mother, Mrs. Frank Hurley of Emerald, a brother, Frank, of St. Paul, and a sister, Mrs. Chas. Short of Spokane, Wash.

He was an honest, upright Christian, a devout member of the Congregational Church and a credit to his community.

The funeral was held today from the home and at the Congregational Church, with burial at the Dorchester Cemetery. The Rev. W.P. Powell officiated. The family have the sympathy of the entire community.

Charles B. Brady, son of Mr. and Mrs. Barney Brady, was born in the town of Hoard, Clark County, Wis., Feb. 5, 1881, where he grew to manhood. He was united in marriage to Stella Baker at Eidsvold, Wis., on September 20, 1905, and moved to their present home in the town of Mayville. Surviving are his widow and daughter, Beulah, his mother, Mrs. Frank Hurley of Emerald, Wis., one sister, mrs. Charles Short of Spokane, Wash., and one brother, Frank Brady of St. Paul, and many other relatives and a host of friends.

He was a member and faithful worker in the Curtiss Congregational Church and was held in high esteem by everyone who were fortunate to have made his acquaintance, always living above reproach. His first thoughts were his duty to his family and was truly a real husband and father. Not only will he be greatly missed in the home, but in the entire community.

The funeral was held Thursday afternoon, May 28th, with a short service at the home at 1:30 and at the Congregational Church at Curtiss at 2:00. He was laid to rest in the Dorchester Cemetery beside his father who preceded him in death thirty-one years ago.

Baker, Mrs. Jas. Notman and daughters, Marjorie and Leila, all of Stanley, Wm. Tuttle of Owen, Mrs. Jos. Seidling and son Leroy and daughter Sylvia of Boyd, Mr. and Mrs. Martin Klahn of Lublin, Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Christianson, Mrs. Wm. Allen, Mr. S.S. Warner of Thorp, Miss Mamie Dunbar of Emerald and Leo Storey of Eidsvold.
