Obit: Chaplinski, Barbara Ann (1945 – 2005)

July 27, 2005 ----Chaplinski, Barbara Ann (November 12, 1945 - July 20, 2005) Barbara Ann Chaplinski, age 59, died suddenly at her home in Palos Hills, Illinois on July 20, 2005. A celebration of her life was held in Hickory Hills, IL on July 23, 2005. There will be a mass of Christian Burial on Friday, August 12, 2005, at 10:30 a.m. at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Gilman, WI with Father John Long officiating. Interment will follow at Meadowbrook Cemetery in Gilman. Barb was born November 12, 1945 in Gilman to Andrew and Molly Chaplinski. She has resided in Illinois for the past 20 odd years where she has devoted her life to her family and friends. Survivors include: her sister, Andrea (Norm) Ollestad, Hickory Hills, IL; Carol (late Edward) Soraparu, Gilman and step-brother, Frank (Dawnelle) Horvath, Eau Claire. Barb was preceded in death by George (Gloria) Chaplinski, Victorville, CA. She was the outspoken and caring friend, cousin and aunt to many. A life long lover of horses and the outdoors, Barb was known for her compassion to all animals. Donations may be made to Best Friends Animal Sanctuary (5001 Angel Canyon Road, Kanab, Utah, 84741-5000). Gilman Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
