Lyle L. Bulgrin, 64, Stevens Point, died unexpectedly Saturday, Oct. 14, 2006, at Saint Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield. Visitation will be held on Thursday, Oct. 19, from 9 a.m. until the time of funeral services at 11 a.m., at Boston Funeral Home, Stevens Point. Burial services will follow.

Lyle L. Bulgrin was born April 14, 1942, in Marshfield to DuWayne and Mary (nee Smiley) Bulgrin. He attended schools in Owen and graduated with a bachelor of science degree from Eau Claire. He received his master’s degree from Central Michigan University. He was employed as a hospital laboratory manager in Texas and Illinois before moving to Stevens Point where he was associated with the laboratory at St. Michael’s Hospital. He owned and operated a Wild Birds Unlimited Store in Stevens Point. He retired in 2004. He married Joyce Albert in Greenwood on Oct. 7, 1967. He was an avid deer hunter and sports fan. He enjoyed photography—wildlife, round barns, covered bridges, and rural scenes. He also enjoyed bird watching and was working on completing his Birder’s Life List. He was a kind, gentle, trusting man, and a devoted and loving husband and father. He will be deeply missed by his family.

Survivors include his wife, Joyce, Stevens Point; one son, Bryce, Stevens Point; to daughters, Bronnyn (Scott) Wettstein, Custer, and Bethany (Troy) Tschan, Altoona; one brother, Burdell (Anita) Bulgrin, Brooklyn Park, Minn; one niece, Amy (Dale) Printy and family; one nephew, Douglas (Heather) Bulgrin and family; and his faithful beagle and walking companion, Molly.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Lyle, Dad—we saw the three geese. God go with you until we meet again.
