Obit: Johnson, Christina (1865 - 1932)

February 20,1932 ----Johnson, Christina (26 Oct. 1865 - 11 Feb. 1932) Mrs. Aaron Johnson died last Sunday forenoon in an Eau Claire hospital a week following an operation for an intestinal trouble. She was rallying from the operation with hopes of recovery, when pneumonia developed resulting in her death. M. Krebschmer brought the remains to her late home in the town of Cleveland, and burial was held Wednesday afternoon. In the absence of the Lutheran minister from Strum Rev. E. A. Wolfe officiated at the services held at the M. E. church. Many neighbors and friends attended. Interment was in Mentor cemetery. Relatives from away attending the burial were R. F. Wilman and family, Altoona; C. A. Wilman and family, Minneapolis; and a niece from Chicago. Christina Willman was born in Fillmore county, near Whalan, Minnesota, Oct. 26, 1865. In the year 1881 she moved with her parents to a farm near Minnesota. On Nov. 22, 1889 she was united in marriage with Aaron Johnson at Lake Stay, Minn., and established their home on a farm near Marshall. Remaining there until 1906, when they moved to the farm near Humbird, which was her home until the time of her death on Sunday, Feb. 11, 1932. She attained the age of 66 years 3 months and 18 days. Deceased was one of a family of ten children, six of whom have preceded her to the Great Beyond. Mourning the death of this beloved wife, mother, and sister, are her husband, one daughter, Agnes; and three brothers, Jesn Willman of Ivanhoe, Minn.; and Canute and Charles of Humbird; besides a number o nieces and nephews and many friends. |
