Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Short and family, Mr. and Mrs. Jess Wilding, Mr. and Mrs. Max Opelt and family, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Short, Mrs. H. Krutsch and family, Mr. and Mrs. R. Mortenson and family, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Short and family, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Kuhn and son, Mr. and Mrs. George Albaugh, Lucille Wilding, James Short, Mr. and Mrs. H. Elmendorf and family, Miss Pearl Schultz and Mr. and Mrs. M. Reinart, Sr., and family surprised Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Short Easter Sunday, in honor of their 21st wedding anniversary, which occurred on March 26. They left a gift of silver coins as a reminder of their visit. The Shorts recalled the weather of 1919 as being very different from this extreme cold weather, as roads were almost impassable with mud, even for horses and buggies.

Mr. and Mrs. Hattie Schultz and family spent Easter Sunday at the Paul Schultz home.

Several from this vicinity attended the meeting of the Singing club at the Lindquist home, near Sherwood, Sunday night.

Mr. and Mrs. Ed Hagie entertained their Bunco club Saturday night.

Mr. and Mrs. R. O. Aasen entertained relatives Easter Sunday.

Several relatives and friends helped Mrs. O. A. Crockett celebrated her birthday Thursday night.

Mrs. Ordie Marshall and Mrs. R. Short were hostesses to the Birthday club Wednesday afternoon at the Marshall home.

Mr. and Mrs. Max Opelt and family attended Easter services at the Congregational Church Sunday.

Mr. and Mrs. William Kopp and family and George Volz spent Easter Sunday at the home of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. Volz.

Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Stevens and family, Mr. and Mrs. T. M. Winter, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Wall and family, Mr. and Mrs. William Stevens and Vera and Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Wall were entertained Easter Sunday at the James Vincent home.

Mrs. R. Wahlen returned home from Milwaukee last week, after a two-week visit with relatives and friends.

Mr. and Mrs. Harold Elmendorf entertained his brother, Cletus and wife and Mr. and Mrs. Judd Green of Seattle, Wash., part of last week. Mr. Judd coming out to drive back a new car. They left on their ***Rest cut off.
