Michael Breit, of the Town of Hull, was accidentally killed Monday afternoon, while stoning a well on his own premises. Mr. Breit was stoning the well while John Ohlinger and Wm. Bradfisch were lowering stone to him. A stone, weighting 75 or 80 pounds, was placed in the bucket to be lowered to him but, as the bucket swung over the well it topped and let the stone fall onto Mike. The side of his skull was crushed, his neck dislocated, besides other injuries sustained. He was taken out of the well immediately and Dr. von Neupert sent for, though it was apparent to all that Mike was fatally injured. The doctor was soon there and did what he could to relieve the sufferings of the injured man, who lived until the next day about two o’clock. Mrs. Breit was an industrious, hard working man, and leaves a large family, not in the best of circumstances, who should have the sympathy of the entire community. The funeral will take place at the new Catholic, church, tomorrow morning at 10 o’clock, Re. Father Joerres officiating.

Michael Hogan, a character well known in this community, was found dead on the railroad track between Prentice and Phillips. He lay across the track in such a manner that his head was severed from the body and both legs cut off. Some one of the night trains had done the work. The remains were brought to Dorchester, and the funeral occurred today. Rev. Father Joerres officiating.
