Obit: Eva E. Marden
Mrs. Eva E. Marden Neillsville-Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Gesche Funeral Home for Mr. Eva E. Marden 93, of 303 W. 15th. St. She died at 9:30 p.m. Wednesday at her home. The Rev. D.E. Sprague, pastor of the Assembly of God Church will officate. Burial will follow in the Neillsville Cemetery. Friends may call from 6-9 p.m. today and until time of services Saturday at the funeral home. The former Eva E. Newell was born Sept. 2, 1888 in Clark County to Mr. and Mr. Wilder Lee (Carrie B. Vernam) Newell and received her education there. She was married to Leslie S. Marden Dec. 22, 1913 at Neillsville. Following his death in 1939, she continued to reside in Neillsville, where she did painting. Even after the loss of her eyesight a number of years ago, she continued to do rug weaving and handiwork. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. June Waterman, Mesa, Ariz.; two sisters, Mrs. Homer (Bethel) Webster, Neillsville, and Ida Cunningham, Three Lakes; eight grandhildren, and several great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by two sons, Erwin and Glen, and by two brothers and a sister. (Death occured June 23, 1982) |
