Snyder, Frank L. (2 NOV 1871 – 17 JAN 1918)

Frank L. Snyder of Duluth, Minn., oldest son of Mr. and Mrs. H.L. Snyder of Neillsville, Clark County, Wis., died at a sanitarium at Nopeming Jan. 17, 1918, after a prolonged illness. Besides a widow, he is survived by four children: Melvin, aged 20, Carl 18, Marshall 7 and Jean, aged 2 years; also two brothers, Albion and Loren Snyder, both residents of Duluth, and father and mother of Neillsville.

Frank was born in the town of York, Nov. 2, 1871, where he spent his boyhood days, and at an early age began teaching school, which vocation he followed successfully for several years. Later on he, together with his family, moved to Duluth, Minn., where he was employed by Marshall-Wells Hardware Co. until failing in health, was obliged to give up his work. He was a kind loving father and husband and will be missed in the home as well as by a large circle of friends and relatives. He lived a clean life and when death came it found him ready and willing to go.

The editor would gladly pay more than a passing tribute to the character of Frank L. Snyder. I knew him as a school boy, as a teacher and as a man interested in the affairs of business life. His earnestness and faithfulness as a student and teacher (the rest of my copy was cut off)
