Surnames: HOWARD HULBURT DUNWOODIE Source: THORP COURIER (Thorp, Clark County, Wis.) 01/21/1904 Howard, George C. (27 FEB 1845 - 15 JAN 1904) George C. Howard, an old and respected resident of this village, died at his home early on Friday morning last of pneumonia, after an illness of but four or five days. Mr. Howard removed here (Thorp, Clark County, Wis.) from Tunnel City, Wis. in 1881, with his family, and for several years conducted an extensive merchandise business, retiring a number of years ago. He was born Feb. 27, 1845. The funeral took place from the M. E. Church on Sunday last at 2 p.m., Rev. J. B. Bachman officiating. Besides a widow he leaves an aged mother, Mrs. Hulburt of Tomah, a brother, Elliot Howard of Tunnel City, and six grown children, Harvey of this place, Henry of Bethel, Jesse C. of Kennan, Mrs. W. Dunwoodie of Antigo, Miss Mabel of Westboro, and Lewis of Dorchester, all of whom were present to attend the last sad rites. |
