Rueth, 25, Loyal, died on Saturday, March 29, 2003, at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center, Myrtle Beach, S.C. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., on Wednesday, April 2, at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Loyal. The Rev. Roman Kaiser officiated. Burial was in St. Anthony’s Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers were Gary Rueth, Bucky Rueth, Travis Rueth, Adam Becker, Jeremy Schultz and Rodney Steines. Honorary pallbearers were Mark Begert, Alan Buchholz and Elice Seebandt. Craig Alan Rueth was born on May 28, 1977, in Marshfield, to Charles H. and Brenda (nee Schmidt) Rueth. He was raised on the family farm and educated in Loyal Public Schools. He graduated from Loyal High School in 1996. He completed a woodworking program at Chippewa Valley Technical College and then worked in private construction building homes. He began working for Wick Building Systems, Marshfield, in September 1998, and was employed there until the time of his death. He had many interests, but especially enjoyed spending time with his relatives and friends, Green Bay Packer football, NASCAR racing, woodworking, bowling, golfing, 4-wheeling, snowmobiling and traveling. He was a true people person and would drop everything to help someone out. He will be sadly missed by his parents, Chuck and Brenda Rueth, Loyal; one sister, Amy Rueth, Eau Claire; his maternal grandmother, Betty Schmidt, Loyal; his paternal grandparents, Herbert and Kathleen Rueth, Parma, Idaho; two great-grandmothers, Agnes Bargander, Marshfield, and Lila O’Brien, Spencer; special friend Elice Seebandt, Neillsville, and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Preceding him in death were his maternal grandfather, Bernard Schmidt, on Feb. 19, 1987; one uncle, Barry Schmidt; and one aunt, Bonnie Erickson. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be given in Craig’s name for a scholarship that will be established at a later date. Cuddie Funeral Home, Loyal, assisted the family with arrangements. |
