Kraft, Anthony John (5 May 1892 – 18 Sept. 1941)

Military rites for Anthony John Kraft of Seymour, Wis., were held Monday, September 22, 1941, at the Evangelical Church of Seymour, Rev. Bernhard officiating. Interment was made in the Seymour Cemetery.

Mr. Kraft died at his home Sept. 18, 24 hours after he was stricken with paralysis. He was 49 years of age, a veteran of the World War.

Anthony Kraft was born in Peezak, Austria, May 5, 1892, to Mr. and Mrs. John Kraft. He came to America at the age of 19. He was married to Miss Arbie Krause of Dorchester, Wis., at St. Paul. For 13 years they made Neillsville their home. Mr. Kraft, who conducted the Neillsville Shoe Hospital, was a skilled shoemaker and repairman. Several years ago they moved to Milltown and later moved to Seymour.

The departed is survived by his wife, Arbie, 38, four children: Gladys, 20; Vilas, 19; Kenneth, 17; and Lloyd, 16.

Mr. and Mrs. Joe Haas and Mr. and Mrs. Carl Hoffman of this city and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Dux of Wisconsin Rapids attended the funeral. Out of town relatives who attended were: Mr. and Mrs. Frank Roos, St. Paul; Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Wehrman, Colby, and Mr. and Mrs. Felix Bohman, Stratford.
