Celebrate Golden Wedding Anniversary

The following guests were entertained at dinner and supper at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Kanter in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Nick Kanter of Colby, Wisconsin. It was a family reunion as well as the Golden Wedding or Mr. and Mrs. Nick Kanter who will be married 50 years on the 16th of June 1946. Mr. and Mrs. Nick Kanter, Colby, Mr. and Mrs. Clemens Kanter, San Bernadino, Calif., Mrs. Ed Kohlbeck and daughter, Grand Rapids, Mich., Mr. and Mrs. Peter Hasenorhl and family, Colby, Wis., Mr. and Mrs. Ed Cleary and family, Hartford, Mich., Mr. and Mrs. Robert Carberry and family of Lodi, Wis., and Mrs. Joe Zinthefer, Marshfield, Wis., Mr. and Mrs. Harry Benjamin, Palm Springs, Calif., Mr. and Mrs. Harold Baumgart and daughter, Colby, Wis., Mr. Henry Miesen, Fond du Lac, Wis., Mr. Bernard Koenen of Fond du Lac, Wis., Mr. Math Miesen of Marshfield, Wis.

The dining room was decorated with white and gold crepe paper streamers centered with a wedding bell. The tables were decorated with flowers and lighted candles.

The dining room was in the charge of Marie Zinthefer and was assisted by the couple’s following grandchildren: Donald Kanter, Louis Hasenorhl, Marilyn Hasenorhl, Dorothy Carberry, Joan Cleary.

The kitchen was in the charge of Mrs. Martha Weller and Mrs. John Loos.
