BioM: Nelson, Muriel G. (1938)
Surnames: Nelson, Hart, Orke, Crave, Bryner Source: Humbird Enterprise (Humbird, Wis.) Sat., 1 Oct. 1938 Nelson, Muriel G. (Marriage – 22 Sept. 1938) A very pretty wedding was celebrated at the Norwegian Lutheran Parsonage at Pigeon Falls, at eleven o’clock Thursday morning, Sept. 22nd, when the pastor, the Rev. Orke, united in holy wedlock Mr. Harold Hart and Miss Muriel G. Nelson. The young bride was tastily gowned in a floor length wedding dress of white satin, with long veil and carried a bouquet of chrysanthemums and gladiolas. Her bridesmaid was her cousin, Miss Dorothy Crave, of the town of Cleveland. She wore a gown of accrue blue taffeta, and carried a bouquet of gladiolas. The groom wore an oak-brown suit, and was attended by his cousin, Mr. Alvin Bryner, who wore a suit of blue. After the ceremony the bridal party drove to the home of the bride’s aunt, Mrs. Crave, in the town of Cleveland, where a fine wedding dinner was served, just a few relatives and friends being present. In the evening a dancing party was given in their honor, at the town hall in this village. A prenuptial event was a shower for the bride by her young friends at the Crave home in Cleveland, and Sunday afternoon a coin shower was given for the young couple at the home of the groom’s sister, Mrs. Angus Flood. Dainty refreshments were served at each gathering. Both of these young people are favorably known in our community. The groom is the only son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Hart. After graduating from the local high school he was employed for a period with a Michigan truck manufacturer. He is now engaged with his father on the farm, where the new home will be established. His bride is also a graduate of Humbird High, being a popular member of the Class of 1938. She is the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hartwig Nelson, of the town of Cleveland. Both of these young people have many young friends in our midst, and all unite in the usual congratulations and best wishes.
