Family Reunion

The annual Loughead – Cossgrove family reunion was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Tom Loughead Sunday.

Dinner and supper were served in the Methodist church parlors. Those present were Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Price and son, Neillsville; Mr. and Mrs. Harold Drews, Marshfield; Donald and Elaine Drews, Marshfield; Susie, David and Kenneth Knauer, Marshfield; Gladys Loughead, Chokio, Minn.; Mrs. Duane Jipsen and daughter Norma, Morris, Minn.; Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Fuller and daughter, Wausau; Mr. and Mrs. R. D. Cook and son, Marathon City; Mr. and Mrs. Harold Gardner and family, Loyal; Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Loughead and son Abbotsford; Mr. and Mrs. Howard Cossgrove, Colby; Mr. and Mrs. S. E. Cossgrove, Miss Doris Cossgrove, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Loughead, Mr. Messer, Mrs. Nellie Erickson.

I started reading your article about life in Unity Wisconsin during the 40’s. I think my mom lived there during that time! I see where you mentioned Tom Loughead a few times, I think he may have been my mom’s cousin. Her father was John Henry Loughead married to Olive Bertha Loughead and my mom was Olive Emagene Loughead and she had 5 sisters – Laurene/Gail, Iola, Eloise, Elva, Joan. Can you tell me anything more about her family and where they lived, or where I can find more information….? Mark S. Videka
