Obit: Ridderbusch, Carl S. (1858 – 1933)
Surnames: RIDDERBUSCH WILDE BEYREIS GARBISCH BROWNELL RUNDLE Source: WEEKLY CLARION (Dorchester, Clark Co., WI) 03/24/1933 Ridderbusch, Carl S. (14 SEP 1858 – 21 MAR 1933) Dorchester (Clark Co., Wis.) friends will be saddened to learn of the sudden death of Carl S. Ridderbusch, who passed away Tuesday afternoon at his home in Wausau, at 102 N. First Av., after an illness of five days. Funeral services will be held this Friday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the home with Rev. E.H. Bertermann officiating. Burial will be made in the Pine Grove Cemetery (Wausau). Carl S. Ridderbusch was born in Germany on Sept. 14, 1858 and was 74 years, 6 months and 14 days old at time of death. He grew up in his home community and came to the United States when a young man. On April 17, 1885 he was united in marriage to Miss Helena Wilde in Manitowoc. They made their home there until the early 1900’s when they moved to Dorchester and purchased a farm about 4 miles southeast of the village. They lived there about 25 years, and 4 years ago, when Mr. Ridderbusch retired from actual farming, they moved to their home in Wausau. Besides hi wife, Mr. Ridderbusch is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Charles Beyreis of Wausau, Mrs. Arthur Garbisch of Binghamton, N.D., Mrs. Harold Brownell of Dryden, N.Y. and Mrs. Earl Rundle of Edgar, four sons, Gustave, Louis and Herman Ridderbusch of Wausau, and Fred Ridderbusch of Dorchester, and thirteen grandchildren. To the many Dorchester folks who knew Mr. Ridderbusch, he was always a friendly, cheerful gentleman, who made friends at every turn of life. His kind acts and loving care as husband and father endeared him to his family and they shall greatly miss him from the family circle. The many friends of the family join us in offering deepest sympathy and the hand of fellowship to the mourning ones in their hour of sorrow. |
