Domer, Marvin E. #2 (1 Sept. 1922 – 3 Oct. 1945)

Ex-service men from here were among those attending final burial rites at Riplinger July 1 for Pvt. Marvin E. Domer, 23, who was killed in a jeep accident in Italy October 3, 1945. The Rev. August Quandt officiated and military rites were in charge of the American Legion.

Flowers were carried by Fae and Joan Quandt, Marleen Toltzman, Mrs. Eugene Prien, Marilyn Nelson and Juanita Molle. Mr. and Mrs. Ted Domer of Unity, sang “Home, Sweet Home” and “Just As I Am.” Mrs. Henry Krusel was the accompanist.

Out-of-town persons who came for the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Robert Burke and family, and Mr. and Mrs. Richard Colby, Milwaukee; Orville Domer and Irene Vanden Heuvel, Kimberly; Mr. and Mrs. Russell Bruhn and family, John North, and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Duval, Marshfield; Mr. and Mrs. Phil Glazer, Stevens Point; Mrs. Joseph Schultz, Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Schultz, Mr. and Mrs. Reuben Zimmerman, and Mrs. Henry Langfelt, Loyal; Mr. and Mrs. James Colby, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Jewett and son, Robert, and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Schultz, Owen; Mr. and Mrs. George Orth and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Schutte, Abbotsford; Carl and Leo Domer, Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Newman and family, Mr. and Mrs. Emil Martens and family, and Mr. and Mrs. Ted Domer, Unity; and Mr. and Mrs. Felix Dietsche, Owen.
