Dorchester – 7 Nov. 1882

Editors Times: We send you a few “personals”, as there are not great events or extraordinary happenings to record.

Mr. Lars Larson is entertaining his sister, Miss C. Larson, of Madison.

R. P. Rubin, our genial station agent, returned yesterday from a visit to the parental roof.

Mr. and Mrs. O. D. Van Dusen and daughter, Miss Floy are expected home from their Dakota trip today.

Miss Lela Evans is to gladden Dorchester with her presence on Tuesday next. She has been absent some five weeks, which seems an eternity to “Doc.”

E. H. Winchester has opened an office opposite the school house. He represents the leading insurance companies of the northwest.

Elmer Tennant finishes his school this week; he takes one week vacation and beings a four month term at Brokerville. School teachers are in good demand.

We hear that our young people are to have a dancing school, we second the motion.

Rev. Patch has an appointment there on Sunday. An effort is being made to organize a Presbyterian society to take a share in the German Evangelical church just completed, that the American citizens may have a place to hold divine service. This is a step in the right direction.

Davy.
