Obit: Schade, Edelhardt H. “Ed” (1913 – 1988) Surnames: SCHADE RUHBUSCH NORTHUP HOEFS SCHWANTES Source: MARSHFIELD NEWS-HERALD (Marshfield, Wood Co., Wis.) 11/10/1988 Schade, Edelhardt H. “Ed” (23 Jun. 1913 – 9 Nov. 1988) Spencer – Edelhardt “Ed” H. Schade, 75, died at 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Colonial House Living Center in Colby. Services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Spencer. The Rev. William Ruhbusch will officiate. Burial will be in the West Spencer Cemetery. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Gary, Scott and Andrew Schade, Dennis and Daniel Northup, and Brian Hoefs. Visitation will be at the Rux Funeral Home, Spencer, after 4 p.m. Friday. He was born June 23, 1913, in Merrill, to Herman and Alma Schade. He married Ruth Schwantes Sept. 8, 1937 at Trinity Lutheran Church. He worked for Land O’Lakes in Spencer for 30 years, retiring in 1978. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, the Trinity Dartball Team, and the Lutheran Laymen’s League. He is survived by his wife, Ruth; two daughters, Mrs. Donald (Darlene) Hoefs of Waconia, Minn., and Mrs. Donald (Donna) Northup of Waterford; three sons, Donald of Milwaukee, Bruce of Marshfield, and Larry of Spencer; one brother, Walter of Wausau; 15 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents. |
