Seefeldt, Fred (4 May 1892 – 10 Jul. 1951)

Funeral services were held at 2 P.M. Friday at St. John’s Lutheran Church for Fred Emil Seefeldt, 59, who passed away at 3:20 P.M. Tuesday at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield, where he had been a patient the past six weeks. Death was caused by a heart ailment.

The Rev. R. J. Scholz officiated at the services. Burial was made in the parish cemetery.

The body reposed at the Swarthout Funeral Home until 11 A.M. Friday when it was taken to the church.

Pallbearers were Walter Justman, Louis Justman, Otto Manthe, Olaf Manthe, John Neuman, and Albert Mellenthin.

In charge of the flowers were Mrs. Milton Domer, Mrs. Arnold Seefeldt, Mrs. Walter Seefeldt, Ardith Hendrickson, Verla Hebert, and Dorothy Neusbaum.

Mr. Seefeldt was born May 4, 1892, in Spencer, and had resided in this area all of his life. His marriage to the former Alvina Hendrickson took place June 1, 1913 at Loyal. They operated a farm near Riplinger.

Surviving are his wife, four sons, Norman, Spencer; Lawrence, Kenosha; Myron, Spencer; and Paul, at home; a daughter, Mrs. Eugene (Arlene) Martin, Spencer; 10 grandchildren; four brothers, Herman, Frank, Louie and Albert, all of Spencer; and a half-sister, Mrs. Laura Schilling, Wausau.
