Surnames: BOARDMAN ---Source: THORP COURIER (Thorp, Clark County, Wis.) 04/09/1936 Boardman, Anson A. (14 FEB 1861 – 1 APR 1936) Anson A. Boardman, aged 75 years, died at the county hospital at Owen (Clark Co., Wis.), of heart trouble, on Wednesday of last week, after an illness of two days. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Geo. Kelsey at the Bogumill Funeral Home at Thorp on Thursday afternoon and interment followed in the East Thorp Cemetery. Anson Boardman was born Feb. 14, 1861, at Rochester, Minn., the son of Mr. and Mrs. E.A. Boardman (both deceased), the first settlers here in 1872. Melvin Boardman, a brother, of Thorp, is the only surviving relatives of a family of eight children. |
