(14 Mar. 1901 – 8 Jan. 1992) Granton – Services for Linda A. Naedler, 90, rural Granton, who died at 5:10 p.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph’s Hospital hospice home, House of the Dove, Marshfield, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Zion Lutheran Church, Granton. The Rev. Herbert Biermann will officiate. Music will be provided by Patty Nickel, soloist, and Donna Sternitzky, accompanist. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be at Gesche Funeral Home, Neillsville, from 5-8 p.m. today and then at the church one hour before service time Saturday. She was born March 14, 1901, in Spencer, to the late William and Friederika (Hardis) Schwantes. She was educated in Spencer. She lived in Neillsville for a short time before her marriage. She was married to William A. Naedler Oct. 19, 1927, in Neillsville. She and her husband farmed in the town of York until retiring in 1957. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and its Ladies Aid and the Romadka Homemakers Club. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Norman (Irene) Engen of Janesville; two sons, William, of Neillsville and Marvin of Granton; one brother, Harry Schwantes of St. Petersburg, Fla.; 12 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, one infant son, a twin sister, two brothers, four half brothers, four half sisters and several nieces and nephews. |
