Funeral services were held Thursday morning for Nicholas Decker who passed away at his farm home Sunday morning at 11 after a five months illness. Services were held at the home at 9 o’clock and at the St. Louis Catholic Church at 10 o’clock, the Rev. Clement Haines officiating.

Interment was made in the Memorial Cemetery with John Pinter, John Schefsick, John Kadonsky, Nic Heindl, Fred Leonhard and Clarence Van Ess? Acting as pallbearers.

Mr. Decker, who has been active in farming for the past 35 years, had been ailing for several months and had been in bed the past few weeks. Death was due to cancer.

Nicholas Decker was born in Belgium, the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Decker, on April 4, 1872 and was 64 years and 8 days old at time of death. When one year old he came with his parents to Appleton where he grew to young manhood. Several years following his marriage to Miss Emma Ulman, on Oct. 8, 1895 at Appleton, they moved to their farm about two mile east and one mile south?, where they have resided from the last 32 years. Eleven children were born to them, three of whom preceded their father in death.

He is survived by his wife, three daughters, Mrs. Aloys House, nee Caroline, Misses Josephine and Anna Decker of Milwaukee; and five sons, ? of Hollywood, Calif., Louis of Flint, Mich. Theodore of Cudahy, ?mond and Lawrence at home. He also leaves his mother, Mrs. John Decker, Dorchester; two sisters, Mrs. Schumacher, Dorchester and Mrs. Mary Ulman of Buffalo, N.Y.; three brothers, Theodore Decker, Dorchester; William Decker, Athens; and ? Decker, Ion, Wash., and ? grandchildren.

During his many years here Mr. Decker made a large circle of friends who join us in offering deepest sympathy to his family in their bereavement.

Out of town relatives attending the services were Mr. and Mrs. Aloys House and daughters, Evelyn and Diane, Misses Anna and Josephine Decker, all of Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Decker, Cudahy; Mr. and Mrs. Louis Decker, Flint, Mich.; Mrs. Agnes Jansenn, Kenosha; Mr. and Mrs. Nick ?, Liberty; Arthur, Urban and Alma ?; Josephine Gengler, Luxembourg; Mr. and Mrs. Tony Ulman, Kenosha; Mrs. Caroline Knight, Mrs. Lottie Dorn, Mrs. Anna Wolf and Mrs. Sadie Lipert of Appleton; Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Decker and sons, Edward and Norbert of Athens; and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Buchholz and son, Paul, Neillsville. Mrs. Jansenn will remain for an extended fisit with her sister, Mrs. Decker.
