A very beautiful wedding was solemnized Saturday morning at 9 o’clock at the Polonia Catholic Church when Miss Bernadette Burant, Milwaukee, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Adam Burant, who reside near Polonia, became the bride of Laurence Scholz, Milwaukee, son of Mr. and Mrs. F.N. Scholz, town of Little Black (Taylor Co., Wis.), in a double ring ceremony.

In the bridal party were Miss Bertha Burant, Milwaukee, sister of the bride, who attended as maid of honor, the Misses Sally and Henrietta Burant, also sisters of the bride, and Miss Esther Burant, cousin of the bride, as bridesmaids; and the ushers Herbert and Andrew Scholz, Milwaukee, brothers of the groom, and Edwin Burant, brother of the bride.

A floor length gown of cream satin was worn by the bride. It was modeled with a long train and point lace sleeves and collar. Her veil of tulle was arranged in a cap effect and she carried a bouquet of swansonia and roses.

The maid of honor’s floor length frock was of blue taffeta and she wore a wine colored hat and slipper. The bridesmaids in wine colored taffeta frocks, wore hats and slipper of blue. Their flowers were arm bouquets of mixed fall flowers.

About two hundred guests were entertained throughout the day at the home of the bride’s parents. Music was provided for dancing in an improvised pavilion and dinner and supper were served to the guests.

Among those attending were Mr. and Mrs. Louis Scholz and Miss Genevieve Renk of Milwaukee, Mr. and Mrs. F.N. Scholz, son, Raymond and Wallace, Mrs. Ed Scholz and Wayne Hugoboom of Dorchester.

For the present the couple will reside at 1425 N. Marshall St., Milwaukee, and will be at home to their friends immediately. Mr. Scholz, who has been employed in Milwaukee since graduation from high school in 1932, is chief engineer at the Milwaukee Elk’s Club.

The groom is well known here, having completed his high school course at the local high school; the bride, through occasional visits, has also made a very favorable impression. Their many friends join us in wishing them happiness and prosperity in their future.
