---Source: Private Collection - Obituary of Joseph Benjamin Felix (I do not have the source for this obituary but it would be which ever newspaper was being published in Stanley, WI in 1926) Also of note is that Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Felix donated a plot of land for the building of a church and cemetery and his farm was next to the church. (Worden Church of the Brethren.)

Pioneer Farmer Dies at home in This City

Grandfather of 63 and Great Grandfather of 92 yields to the relentless hand.

Joseph B Felix, died at his home in this city (Stanley) last Thursday, August 26, 1926 of general debility, aged 79 years. He had been in declining health for several months. Only last spring he moved from his farm home in the Town of Worden to a home in this city. He had been very active in the work on the farm up to that time, being a frequent visitor to the city for the transaction of business.

The deceased was born in Tippecanoe County, Indiana on December 3, 1846 and would soon have reached his 80th mile post. He was married to Hannah E Weaver on May 20, 1866. Eight children were born to them of whom seven survive vis., Mrs. Celeste Miller, Lafayette, Indiana, Mrs. Jacob Winkler and Mrs. Emma Bigler, Stanley; Curtis Felix, Sturgeon Bay; Mrs. Dan Augsburger and Roy Felix, Oshkosh, and Mrs George Cripe, Mondovi. He is also survived by 63 grandchildren and 92 great grandchildren. He was an active member of the Brethren Church and the funeral was held from the Worden Brethren Church Sunday afternoon and the remains were laid to rest in the Worden Cemetery.
