Family of William Bandow and Mary Ann Heimes

Wiliam Bandow, born May 21, 1873, Garwitz, Germany. Died March 14, 1929 at Colby, WI. Mary Ann Heimes, born June 3, 1875, Phoenix, MI. Died May 15, 1949 at Colby, WI. They were married May 16, 1899 in Unity, WI.

They purchased an 80 acre fram from Julius Mesalk, Town of Frankfort, on February 16, 1916. Their chidren that moved to the Town of Frankfort were: George, born February 17, 1900, Died September 1921; William, born February 17, 1900, died June 1918; Adena, born April 21, 1903, died January 1938; Ambrose, born June 17, 1907; Helen, born January 13, 1910; Mayme, born August 20, 1914; Clement, born June 16, 1920. William was Chairman of the Toiwn of Frankfort at time of death.

After the death of William Bandow, March 1929, the farm was run by his daughter and son-in-law, Frank & Adena Sterzinger. On April 1, 1935 this farm of 120 acres was bought by another daughter and son-in-law, Melvin and Mayme Kilty. In 1970 their son Merlin and Donna Kilty purchased the farm, the present owners.

George died at the age of 21, never married. William Jr. died at the age of 17, never married. Adena married Frank Sterzinger, August 1926 at Wuerzburg. WI. They had siz sons, three died in infancy. She died January 26, 1938.

Ambrose married Clarice Bohlke, October 25, 1939 at Phelps, WI. They had five children. Ambrose, a graduate of Colby High School in 1924, continued his education at Madison Business College and Denver Bible Institute and was ordained as a pastor in 1938, his first parish was the Community Presbyterian Church at Merrrill. Also at Neenah, Chambles, GA, Friendship and Rudolph. Now has retired and lives in Madison and works as a supply pastor.

Helen married Fred Bodem, June 1, 1935, at Colby. They have two sons; Fred of Chicago and Dennis, Alpena, MI. Helen has lived in Milwaukee since 1935. Fred died Nov. 28, 1966.

Mayme married Melvin Kilty, August 20, 1934 in Colby. They had two children, Merlin and Miriam. Miriam, a graduate of Stevens Point College in 1963, is a teacher in Colby High School System.

Clement married Dorothy Bertram, October 2, 1954 at Rockford, IL. Have one son William, born December 8, 1962. Clement is a city electrical inspector in Rockford.
