Alex Sam Badzinski was born on July 15, 1919 in the Township of Reseburg, rural Clark County, WI, to Walter and Myrtle (Kubera) Badzinski and was educated at area schools. He was united in marriage to Lucille Swienton on September 12, 1942, at St. Hedwig Catholic Church in Thorp. She later passed away on August 31, 1999.

Alex was a loving and caring man who provided for his family as well as others in need. During his working years, he was an electrician, carpenter, logger, milk hauler, and semi driver. He retired from Indianhead Truckline in Chippewa Falls, WI on December 31, 1981 after 25 years of employment.

Outside of work, he was a very ambitious man as well. He loved hunting, fishing, tinkering in his garage, being in the woods, and motorcycle riding. Alex was a Life Member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge, #680, a member of the Clark County Male Chorus, and a member of St. Bernard-St. Hedwig Catholic Church where he sang in the choirs for over 60 years. Additionally, he was a NRA Hunter Safety Instructor for many years.

Alex will be sadly missed by his family: two sons: Dennis Badzinski of Orlando, FL and Duane (Judy) Badzinski of Chippewa Falls, WI; two daughters: Dianne Luzinski of Chippewa Falls, WI and Denise (Merlin) Lee of Omaha, NE; six grandchildren: Brent Badzinski of Howey-in-the-Hills, Fl, Loren (Pam) Luzinski of Menomonie, WI, Lori (Jeff) MacDonald of Ottawa, IL, Shannon (Debbie) Badzinski of Port Rowan, Ontario, Canada, Shana Badzinski of Chippewa Falls, WI, and Natasha (Luke Steivang) Badzinski of Cadott, WI; and eight great-grandchildren: Tyler, Carter, and Jaycie Luzinski, Alexi and Bailey MacDonald, Brandt Badzinski, and Kailey and Emmalee Badzinski. He is further survived by one brother, Harry (Marge) Badzinski of Thorp, WI; one sister, Val (Abbie) Krych of Richfield, MN; and his dear friend, Marge Sonnentag of Thorp, WI; many nieces, nephews, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Lucille; five brothers: Louis, John, George, Joe, and Albert; and four sisters: Josephine, Polly, Gert, and Betty.

In lieu of flowers, the family prefers any memorials be given to a favorite charity.

Thorp funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
