Brandt, Carl T. (6 SEP 1895 – 15 MAR 1968)

Carl Theodore Brandt died suddenly at his home on March 15, 1968 at Stanley, Wis. He was born in Germany on Sept. 6, 1895, son of the late John and Marie Eden Brandt. He came to Nebraska when a small child and then grew to manhood in the town of Worden (Clark Co., Wis.). During World War I he served with the Army in France. On June 22, 1926 he was married to Bethelva Gibbs at her home in the town of Worden.

Mr. Brandt made his home in the town of Worden where he spent most of his life as a carpenter. He was an assessor in the town of Worden, a fire warden and was active in the West Worden Telephone Co. and the Stanley Cooperative Shipping Association. He was also active in organizing the Farmer’s Cooperative of Thorp and served as a director for many years. He was a member of the Stanley American Legion.

Survivors include his wife, Bethelva, daughters, Mrs. Bruce (Bonita) Kline of Minneapolis, Mrs. Dennis (Anita) Mock of Fredericksburg, Virginia, two sons, Lyle Brandt of Stanley, Roy of Minneapolis, Minnesota. Also ten grandchildren and four brothers, Bart and Dick Brandt of Stanley, Arthur Brandt of Chester, Pa., and Edgar Brandt of Marydel, Maryland. He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday from Faith Evangelical Free Church with Rev. Robert Allen officiating. Interment will be at the Oakland Cemetery in Stanley.

Friends may call at the Plombon Funeral Home from Monday afternoon and evening and Tuesday until time of the service.
