Marden, George (16 Dec. 1867 – 17 April 1942)

Funeral services for George Marden, of Greenwood, were held at the Schiller Funeral Home on Tuesday. The services were conducted by the Rev. G. W. Longenecker. Interment was made in the Catholic Cemetery here.

Mr. Marden died at Greenwood, Friday, April 17, 1942.

George Marden was born to William and Charolette Marden in Richland County, Wisconsin, Dec. 16, 1867. When he was a small boy, he came to Clark County with his parents, Neillsville and community remaining his home until five years ago when he moved to Greenwood to live with his brother, William Marden.

As a young man, Mr. Marden worked in the lumber camps and assisted on the home farm. Later he conducted a farm in the town of Hewett for many years.

He is survived by two sons, Charles and Earl Marden of the town of Hewett, and three brothers, William Marden, Greenwood; S. A. Marden, Seattle, Wash.; and J. E. Marden, Woodland, Wash.
